WTC Navi Mumbai welcomed a Trade Mission from Montana (USA) on 25th and 26th February and organised an interactive session on 26th February 2024, at CIBA Tech Incubation Centre, Vashi, Navi Mumbai. The session was quite insightful and served as a great platform for networking.

Business Bazaar was organized at Navi Mumbai on November 7, 2023, by the Entrepreneurship E-Cell of the D Y Patil University School of Management. The theme of the event was Browse, Shop, Dine & Win and more than 50 students of the School participated to present and display their ideas and market these as Start-ups.
D Y Patil University School of Management (DYPUSM) organised the 14th International Business Conference (IBC) themed as "Digital India: Sustainable Development Goals in International Supply Chain and Trade" on 14th October 2023. WTC Navi Mumbai was the supporting organisation for the IBC.
In today's time when the startup ecosystem is gaining Momentum in India export and Import becomes one of the major factors to drive this ecosystem. Understanding the practical Aspects of Export and Import is a strategic advantage for startups in today's globalised business landscape. It enables them to capitalise on emerging opportunities, navigate challenges, and position themselves as competitive players on a global stage.
In a move aimed at fostering mutual growth and development, the World Trade Centre Navi Mumbai signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Mansukhani Institute of Management, Ulhasnagar [Thane] on 12th July 2023.
This MoU sets the stage for an innovative alliance between the business world and academia, promoting knowledge exchange, research collaborations and joint initiatives.
The Y20 Brainstorming Session on “Peacebuilding and Conflict Resolution” was successfully held in Navi Mumbai on 22 June 2023. The session was Organised by the Government of India Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Raisina House (Thinktank) and RIS New Delhi.
Federation of Indian Export Organizations (FIEO), the apex government body of export promotion organizations and the WTC Navi Mumbai jointly organized a Capacity Building Session on the Theme Trade Finance on June 14, 2023, at Navi Mumbai. Ms. Rishu Mishra of FIEO welcomed the participants and introduced the Faculties associated with the Session. She also briefed about the agenda of the event, followed by role and activities of FIEO.
Mahaindx 2023- Engineering Expo was held on 1-2-3 June 2023 at CIDCO Exhibition Centre, Navi Mumbai. The organisers of this Exhibition are Chamber of Small Industry Associations and Thane Small Scale Industries Association, Thane. World Trade Centre, Navi Mumbai was a supporting organisation to this exhibition. WTC Navi Mumbai members and associates had participated and visited the exhibition.
CIIA 2- Innovations event was held from 1st to 3rd February 2023, at Nehru Centre, Worli at Mumbai. World Trade Centre, Navi Mumbai was the supporting organisation for this event.

WTC Navi Mumbai and D Y Patil University School of Management (DYPUSM) jointly organized a special session on “Current Trends in International Trade and Investment” on January 13, 2023, at the DYPUSM. The session was attended by the MBA and BBA management students besides special invitees from industry and business.
Global Expo India organized its Conference on International Trade & FDI at Goa during November 8 – 10, 2022. State Government of Goa, WTC Navi Mumbai and D Y Patil University School of Management Navi Mumbai supported the Conference. More than 100 participants including Delegates, Special Invitees/ Visitors, Exhibitors, Zoom Attendees and Students were present.
This was the theme of an interesting Innovation Seminar organized by the World Trade Center (WTC) Navi Mumbai, D Y Patil University School of Management, IMC Chamber of Commerce and Industry Navi Mumbai and Creative Ideas in Action (CIIA) on October 19, 2022. The Seminar held at DYPUSOM campus at Belapur attracted more than 50 participants from Industry/ Start-ups/ Services sector as well as equal number of students.
WTC Navi Mumbai has become a Supporting Organization for the CIIA Innovation Event 2023. As a collective Nation building responsibility, Creative Ideas and Innovations in Action (CIIA) has launched an initiative to encourage innovations at grass root level in Schools, Colleges, Engineering, Pharma & Chemical Technology Institutions and involving Startups and Incubation Centers and others to get onboard.
WTC Navi Mumbai in cooperation with IMC Chamber Navi Mumbai organized a Special Session on “How to Improve MSMEs Competitiveness and Partnering in Progress” on August 16, 2022, for the benefit of Members of the IMC Chamber Navi Mumbai. Mr. Bhaskar Dastidar CEO of Global Expo India and Associate of the WTC Navi Mumbai was the Guest Speaker at this Session.
WTC Navi Mumbai Advisor Mr. Jayant Ghate recently visited WTC Toronto Canada and discussed possibilities of cooperation among the two WTCs. WTC Toronto is promoted by the Toronto Region Board of Trade which is a nonprofit organization similar to the Chamber of Commerce. It is supported by large Canadian companies as well as services organizations based in Toronto.
Global Expo India is organizing an International Exhibition at the prestigious Goa International Centre during November 8th & 10th, 2022. The Exhibition is supported by the WTC Navi Mumbai and D Y Patil University School of Management Navi Mumbai. It has also received the support from the State Government of Goa and the Indian Trade Promotion Organization (ITPO) of the Government of India.
D Y Patil Deemed to be University School of Management (DYPUSM) in association with the World Trade Centre Navi Mumbai, IMC Chamber of Commerce Navi Mumbai and Global Expo jointly organised the 12th International Business Conference on “Sustainable Economic Transformation” on March 12th 2022 at the D Y Patil (Deemed to be University), Navi Mumbai.
NNMIMS Navi Mumbai Campus Director Dr P N Mukherjee specially invited IMC Chamber Navi Mumbai Committee Members including its Chairman Mr R K Jain and others as well as Mr Jayant Ghate Advisor WTC Navi Mumbai to discuss and explore the possibilities of cooperation for the benefit of Navi Mumbai region. Accordingly, a meeting was held on November 25, 2021 at NMIMS Campus among representatives of three organizations to discuss the related matters.
WTC Navi Mumbai in cooperation with the WTC Pune supported an event on the theme “Corporate Social Responsibility” organized by Global Expo India and Spherule Foundation on August 11, 2021. WTC Navi Mumbai was the co-organizer of the 11th International Business Conference (IBC) organized by D Y Patil University School of Management (DYPUSM) Navi Mumbai on March 10, 2021. The Conference held virtually was a great success in terms of participation of over 2000 students and 100 companies. More than 10 guest speakers from various institutions and companies shared their views and experiences on the Theme “Make for Bharat to Globe”.
WTC Navi Mumbai and Global Expo India jointly organized a Webinar on “Business Opportunities in Ethiopia” on October 14, 2020. Virtual Event of Global Expo India ’20 took place as scheduled during September 17 – 19, 2020 at Navi Mumbai. The real Global Expo event will hopefully happen during December 17 – 19, 2020 as planned, in Navi Mumbai CIDCO Exhibition Centre.WTC Navi Mumbai has been Knowledge Partner of this Expo supported by many countries as well as trade promotion organizations. WTC Navi Mumbai was specially invited to participate in the Inaugural Session of the Virtual Expo on September 17, 2020.
WTC Navi Mumbai has become a Knowledge Partner for the Global Expo’20 being held in Navi Mumbai CIDCO Exhibition Centre during September 17- 19, 2020. However the Expo has been now postponed to December 17 - 19, 2020 in view of Covid spread and international travel restrictions. Only virtual event will take place in September 2020.

WTC Navi Mumbai cooperated with Rajeev Gandhi College of Management Studies (RGCMS) Navi Mumbai in successfully organizing a Webinar on June 2, 2020. Theme of the Webinar was “Professional Career Opportunities in Global Trade and MNCs Post Covid”. Attended by about 150 MBA students and Industry Executives, the Webinar evoked overwhelming response.
WTC Navi Mumbai jointly with IMC Chamber of Commerce Navi Mumbai and Business leadership League (BLL) successfully organized a Webinar on May 7, 2020. “Global Market Scenarios for India “was theme of the program. The program attracted registration of over 200 participants from all over the world and nearly 130 of them actively participated.
WTC Navi Mumbai successfully organised a Digital Marketing Training Workshop on "Succeed Online in 2020" on 6th-7th February 2020 at the WTC Navi Mumbai Office. A similar Workshop was conducted during August 2019 and the response was quite positive. The Workshop was organised in association with the Indo-Global Chamber of Commerce & Industry (IGCCI) and HillsnDales Digital Solutions.
WTC Navi Mumbai welcomed Delegates from a US logistics company Supply Chain Solutions (SCS) on January 31, 2020. The Delegates were part of the Trade Mission of Michigan Economic Development Corporation that visited India to participate in India’s largest Auto Expo 2020 held in New Delhi during first week of February 2020.
The WTC Navi Mumbai in association with the D Y Patil Deemed to be University School of Management organised a Country Seminar on "Mauritius- Your Gateway to Exploring New Markets" on 21st November 2019. Mauritius is an important Trade & Investment partner for India and it provides very attractive Business Opportunities for the Indian Business Community. There were more than 60 Industry representatives as well as students from Mumbai and Navi Mumbai region participating in the Seminar.
WTC Navi Mumbai was specially invited by two important Universities namely Amity University and National Institute of Fashion Technology based in Navi Mumbai to interact with their Management students on 7th November 2019 and 11th November 2019 respectively.
The WTC Navi Mumbai participated in the World Trade Organisation (WTO) Public Forum 2019 between 8th-11th October 2019. The Public Forum is the WTO’s largest annual outreach event. It provides a unique platform for head of states, parliamentarians, leading global business people, students, academicians and non-governmental organisations to come together and debate on a wide range of WTO issues and on some of the major trade and development topics of the day.
India’s Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi has outlined his vision of Making India a $5 Trillion Economy by the year 2025 after he took over in his second term. Currently, India is the 6th largest economy in the world with a GDP of approximately $2.973 Trillion. The vision is very ambitious and offers a great opportunity for the whole nation.

While inaugurating the project , the Prime Minister mentioned that “ the New Airport will have its First Flight in 2019 “ and emphasized importance of infrastructure development in the national economy .
WTC Navi Mumbai and WTC Mumbai jointly organised a Panel Discussion on the theme “ SMEs and Global Value Chain “ at the WTC Navi Mumbai on January 24 , 2018. SMEs are integral and important parts of the Global Value Chain. However , this role has always been least understood . WTC Mumbai is organising its Flagship event Global Economic Summit 2018 on this theme during February ‘ 18. The Panel Discussion took place in this perspective .
WTC Mumbai welcomed a 9 Member companies Trade Mission from Taipei WTC ( TAITRA ) during November 27 – 28 , 2017 . Taipei WTC Liaison Office at Mumbai and WTC Navi Mumbai jointly organised B2B Meetings for Taiwan delegates with their Indian business counterparts on November 27 at Taj Mahal Hotel Mumbai. Mr. Chien- Nan Kuo , CEO of Y u Tong Steel Company was the Leader of the Mission.
WTC Navi Mumbai successfully organised a Workshop on “Success in Export Business “ on November 8 , 2017 . The Workshop was organised in the context of India’s declining exports and need to arrest this trend . Around 50 participants took advantage of the workshop .
Since July 1 , 2017 India has adopted Goods and Services Tax ( GST ) and has joined the list of over 160 countries in the world that have successfully implemented the GST . No doubt this is a historic moment for the Indian economy . Although this economic reform will take some time to percolate at the grassroot level , its smooth functioning is already visible. Experts are giving one year period for successful transition to the new and better economic scenario.
WTC Navi Mumbai organised a Seminar and Interactive Session on “ Doing Business with Pennsylvania “ with Mr. Joseph Burke , Dy. Secretary of Commonwealth of Pennsylvania as Chief Guest on March 27 , 2017. Organised in cooperation with IMC Navi Mumbai and DYPUSM , the event was highly successful in terms of participation , networking and deliberations. Mr. Burke was leading the Delegation of government officials and business persons to India.
WTC Navi Mumbai successfully organised an Interactive Session & Seminar on “ Doing Business with South Korea” on 09th February 2017. As many as 70 delegates from Industrial / Business community & academia participated and benefitted from this knowledge based seminar.
Mr. D W Lee, Director General of Korea Trade – Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA) was the Chief Guest. He made an excellent presentation on South Korea – India Trade and economic relations & growth opportunities for business.
WTC Navi Mumbai and WTC Pune signed a Reciprocity Agreement on November 25, 2016. This MoU for cooperation envisages exchange of information, organising trade promotion activities jointly for the benefit of Navi Mumbai and Pune regions as well as undertaking new initiatives for growth of trade of the two regions as per the guidelines of the WTCA NY.
WTC Pune has already signed such agreements with many WTCs in India and abroad and will now work with the WTC Navi Mumbai to further the cause of business promotion.
WTC Navi Mumbai took up “Managing Supply Chain Effectively for Export Development“ as its theme for its fifth International Business Guidance Seminar on October 21, 2016. The theme was very much relevant for the region and the seminar received an overwhelming response from industry, exporters as well as academia. Because of major port JNPT, shipping/logistics sector is concentrated in Navi Mumbai and the theme was of its interest.
Mr. Jayant Ghate, WTC Advisor, welcomed the delegates and explained the role of WTCs in making the supply chain efficient.
WTC Navi Mumbai successfully organised a Seminar on the topic of “Global Marketing and Export Opportunities“ on August 30, 2016. The Seminar was attended by as many as 100 participants from industry, exporting community, start-ups as well as faculty and MBA students in Navi Mumbai region. The Seminar was organised in association with D Y Patil University School of Management (DYPUSM) and at the University Virtual Classroom.
Jayant Ghate, Advisor WTC NM welcomed the participants and explained the role of WTC NM in promoting the trade and investment of the region. He also mentioned that the WTC NM Membership was open and it gave access to the global network of WTCs.
WTC Navi Mumbai successfully organised its third International Business Guidance Seminar on May 20 on the theme of “International Business Dimension of Startups”. As many as 40 delegates participated in the Seminar deliberations and derived benefits thereof.
Jayant Ghate, Advisor to the WTC Navi Mumbai welcomed the participants and remarked that the WTC itself is in a startup phase of providing trade services to the business community. He added that Export and import business offered excellent opportunities for start-ups and the WTC Navi Mumbai would be happy to help start-ups in this field. Government of India and also Government of Maharashtra have evolved promotional policies that are encouraging for the startup business to grow and develop globally.
WTC Navi Mumbai organised its second International Business Guidance Seminar on March 10 . Theme of the seminar was “ Vision 2025 : Meeting Globalization Challenges in a Border-less World by Indian Companies during the Next Decade “.
“ Planning is the key to successful operation in a globalized world “ said Mr. Arun Sehgal, Chairman of CHEMPRO Group who was the Chief Guest and Mentor for the Seminar. In his presentation he identified several types of risks associated with the international business in future and provided solutions as how to overcome these.
World Trade Center Navi Mumbai has become operational in terms of its services such as Trade Education & Trade Information. As part of the International network of 330 WTC’s in around 100 countries, the WTC Navi Mumbai, promoted by Raheja Universal Group, will provide the infra structure facilities as well as knowledge based services to promote International Trade & Investment.
